We measure it, look at the grade and the soil, and tell you what the ground actually needs — which is not always what you expected.

Rough ground gets graded and the seedbed gets worked before anything is sprayed. Skipping this is why some hydroseed jobs come in thin.
Seed, mulch, fertilizer and tackifier sprayed together. A spreader throws dry seed on bare dirt and hopes; the slurry puts every seed in contact with mulch that holds moisture, and the tackifier binds it down so it stays put through the first real rain — slopes included.
Exact times and durations, emailed to you, so you have it when you need it. The first three weeks decide the result more than anything we do.
Germination runs about 14 to 21 days in fall conditions, a usable lawn in six to eight weeks, and real thickening over the following season.
Late August through September. After that you're gambling on the weather.

- Fall is the best time to do this. If your timeline is flexible we'll tell you to wait for late August or September — even though that means waiting for our money too.
- We won't guarantee seed we don't water. After we leave, the watering is yours. You get the exact schedule and we check in — but we're not selling a guarantee that depends on something we don't control.
- Premium turf-type tall fescue and Kentucky bluegrass, blended for your light and traffic — not whatever was on the truck.

No, but you do need a plan. Plenty of lawns come in fine on hoses and sprinklers. What doesn't work is going away for two weeks right after we spray.
